Executives

Our consistent company strategy takes into account the rapidly changing environment in which we're operating, and our ambition to be the leader in all of our chosen markets. It governs all of the key decisions that are taken at Aegon.

Meet Pat Curtin

Pat Curtin's unique take on leadership at Aegon.

This common goal, a joint strategy to achieve it, and similar challenges in many of our businesses increasingly lead to executives over the globe joining forces on strategic topics. But without losing the thing that many people love about working at Aegon: the freedom to take responsibility for and make a difference within your own area of business.

Sharing best practice across borders

The Aegon group consists of six units - four regional and two global. Regional Aegon units are the Americas, Continental Europe, United Kingdom, and Asia. Global Aegon units are Aegon Asset Management and Aegon Global Technology. We are headquartered in the Hague, the Netherlands.

Senior executives from around the globe formally get together every 18 months to review our performance and future strategy.

All of these units share data and expertise on primary functions such as finance, risk, internal audit, human resources and sustainability. In addition, senior working groups actively coordinate their efforts on strategic topics that are relevant to the various units and the group as a whole.

Senior executives from Aegon units around the globe formally get together every 18 months to review our performance and future strategy. Inspirational and highly motivating are just a couple of adjectives you're guaranteed to overhear in conversations during and after the forum.

Executive development program

In addition, executives meet at Aegon University - our global executive development program. Within Aegon University, our senior leaders share best practices, exchange professional perspectives, and work together on current and future business challenges.
