Position Overview:
IT has an opening for an Intermediate or Senior Application Support Analyst on the Securities and Alternative Assets Support Team. This group is responsible for providing support to end users for our core investment systems. The successful candidate will assist our team by combining their accounting, securities, and financial system knowledge to ensure quality enterprise-wide data is produced by the securities accounting and trading (Aladdin) system. This position will work extensively with numerous departments and associates plus the vendor Blackrock.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, document, and resolve complex data and/or system issues
  • Lead discussions with source-system data owners, system vendor, IT, and end-users to determine errors, corrections, and appropriate exceptions  
  • Manage end-user requests for reporting and system enhancements, and serve as a liaison to the vendor Blackrock
  • Serve as a Aladdin system expert for user questions and training
  • Maintain positive, proactive relationships with customers
  • Evaluate and analyze data and understand the flow of information within our core systems
  • Develop and implement process improvements and business efficiencies
  • Lead discussions with the vendor regarding system functionality or enhancement requests
  • Represent the system users on projects impacting the Aladdin system. 
  • Develop test matrices and processes; Lead testing and verification of information processed through software applications as well as new releases, verifying information is correct and reasonable

Required Qualifications:

Intermediate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent knowledge and a minimum related work experience of 2-4 years; a double major or minor in a business area discipline (MIS, Economics, Accounting) is a plus
  • Analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
  • Strong computer skills are required. 
  • Working knowledge of investment products
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and assignments with minimal supervision 
  • Accept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionally
  • Demonstrated success as a team player and self-starter

Senior

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent knowledge and a minimum related work experience of 5-7 years; a double major or minor in a business area discipline (MIS, Economics, Accounting) is a plus
  • Analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
  • Strong computer skills are required. 
  • Working knowledge of investment products
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and assignments with minimal supervision 
  • Accept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionally
  • Demonstrated success as a team player and self-starter

 Preferred Qualifications:

Aladdin system knowledge is preferred

Financial Services and Insurance industry experience

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
